The MAY Family of Kent & Sussex

The Mays of North-East Hampshire & Mid-Berkshire are traditionally said to descend from John May of Kennington in Kent. This man was, more famously, the ancestor of the Mays of Kent & Sussex, and Leicestershire too, some notices of which are given below:
