Will of William MAY of Caversham Deans Farm Caversham, Oxfordshire, retired farmer, 4th May 1922 This
is the Last Will and Testament of me William MAY now residing at Deans
Farm, Caversham in the County of Oxford, retired Farmer.
I hereby revoke all former wills and testamentary dispositions made
by me. I appoint my son
Arthur MAY of Park Farm, Emmer Green in the said County of Oxford, Farmer,
and my son in law Walter FORD of Dunsden in the said County of Oxford
(hereinafter called ‘my trustees) to be the Executors and Trustees of
this my Will. I devise and
bequeath all my real and personal estate unto my trustees upon trust that
my trustees shall sell, call in and convert into money the same or such
part thereof as shall not consist of money and shall with and out of the
monies produced by such sale, calling in and conversion and with and out
of my ready money pay my funeral and testamentary expenses and debts and
the legacies bequeathed by any codicil hereto but so that the proceeds of
real estate shall not be applied in payment of legacies unless the other
monies applicable thereto under this trust shall be insufficient for
payment thereof. And my
trustees shall out of the monies produced by such sale, calling in and
conversion and of my ready money pay to each of my six daughters now
living the sum of one hundred pounds and to the three children of my
deceased daughter Ethel FISHER one hundred pounds to be divided equally
between them share and share alike as tenants in common and shall hold the
residue of the said monies in trust to divide the same equally between my
son the said Arthur MAY and my son Ernest William MAY share and share
alike as tenants in common. In
witness whereof I have hereunto subscribed my name this fourth day of May
one thousand nine hundred and twenty two. William May Signed by the said William MAY the testator as and for his Last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other both being present together have hereunto subscribed our names as witness. Dredge, Managers clerk to Mr Hubert MAY, Solicitor, Reading. On the twentieth day of February 1924 Probate of this will was granted at Oxford to Arthur MAY the son and Walter FORD the executors. It
is hereby certified that the foregoing is a correct copy dated this twenty
sixth day of February 1924. |
